Nancy Drew Notebooks / Kara Walker Exhibit
Just made two Nancy Drew notebooks! One is already listed~ I’m also going to list a couple of lomo photographs soon
On another note, those of you who are in Southern California should really check out Kara Walker’s exhibition at the Hammer. It opens this weekend! If you’re unfamiliar with her work, she does black paper cut-outs intoxicated with sexual, violent, cruelly humorous images in reminiscence of slavery’s history. Go check it out! It’s up until June 8th, but if you can’t make it by then, the Hammer’s website shows selected works from the exhibition.

Card in the making!
Hi! I just semi-finished making a card
Camille’s supposed to be the expert at paper cut-outs, but I decided to give it a try. It’s dedicated to all those wonderful rabbits out there, from the Velveteen Rabbit to Alice’s White Rabbit. For rabbit lovers: If you’re in the L.A. area, you can adopt your very own rabbit at larabbits.org. If you’re not, well, you can still check out the cute pictures!

Intro!
Hello! We’re proud to present you our very first post!
In case you’re wondering, mimi et vivi is tiny store run by Camille Villanueva & Vivian S. Chen. Both of us are art students at UCLA. We met in our first studio class: sculpture, with the wonderful Donald Morgan! Anyway, we’ve been buddies ever since, practically taking all our classes together. (Currently, it’s Fairy Tales & the Fantastic
!) We’ve always talked about opening a store in the future, and now, well, the future is here! We’ve opened a shop at mimietvivi.etsy.com. Now, I know, I know, there’s nothing there yet. Well, we’re planning on selling miscellaneous goods, ranging from small notebooks to hand-painted umbrellas. We make everything in our tiny dorm rooms. The funds will help our future art projects, so please support us! We’ll keep all our updates on this blog, so keep checking in!
Thank you!
